EconoFlip ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect and use information when you visit our website.
Analytics
When you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data including: pages visited, time spent on pages, interactions with deal listings, and general traffic sources. We do not send any product pricing or personal financial data to Google.
Cookies
We use two types of cookies: (1) an analytics consent cookie (analytics_consent) that remembers your choice for 12 months, and (2) Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that measure site traffic, only set if you accept analytics.
Browser extension analyzed deal data
When you use the EconoFlip browser extension on supported retailer pages, EconoFlip may save analyzed deal facts to your signed-in account. These retailer-page facts may include product title, brand, SKU or product code, product URL, image URL when available, retailer, store or location when available, price, stock or availability text when available, and the timestamp of analysis or save. Captures made with EconoFlip's own demonstration account are displayed publicly on our home page. Captures on your personal account remain private to you.
EconoFlip-generated analysis
Amazon.ca or Amazon.com resale analysis and enrichment results are generated by EconoFlip after analysis or save. They are not retailer-page facts collected from the supported retailer site.
Extension session storage
When you connect the browser extension to EconoFlip, the extension stores your EconoFlip login session locally in Chrome extension storage so analyzed deals can be saved to your signed-in account.
Extension data use limits
EconoFlip uses browser extension data only to provide and improve EconoFlip's user-facing deal analysis features. EconoFlip does not sell browser extension data, use it for advertising or creditworthiness decisions, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide or improve those features, comply with law, address security, or with your explicit consent.
Optional follow-up email
If you explicitly opt in, we may send at most one automatic follow-up email after 72 hours without a new capture, while your latest capture is no more than seven days old. It summarizes saved and analyzed deal counts and may include up to two captured product titles with current estimated per-unit resale profit, currency, and capture and calculation dates. Canadian estimates include sales tax; U.S. estimates are before sales tax. It asks for feedback. SMTP2GO processes your email address and those email contents to deliver the message. You can withdraw consent in Settings or through the email's unsubscribe link. We retain the consent record and an address-level suppression after withdrawal so we can honor your choice, including after account deletion.
Retention and deletion
Analyzed deal data remains scoped to your EconoFlip account until you request deletion or delete your account. For each analyzed deal, EconoFlip stores the product page URL you chose to analyze. EconoFlip does not collect a general browsing-history log.
Your Rights
Under Quebec's Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the right to: withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer, request information about the data we hold, and request deletion of your data.
Withdrawing Consent
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer. This will re-display the consent banner so you can update your choice.
Third-Party Services
Supabase: EconoFlip uses Supabase for account authentication and app data storage, including analyzed deals saved to your account. Google Analytics: Google's privacy policy applies to data collected through their service. We have configured GA4 to not collect advertising data. SMTP2GO: when you opt in to the automatic follow-up email, SMTP2GO handles delivery of your address, capture counts, up to two product titles, estimated per-unit resale profit, currency, and capture and calculation dates.
